PAPER

Introduction : Paper is a very useful thing. We write on it. Once there was no paper. Then people wrote on leaves of trees. The bark was also used for writing.

Paper mills : There are paper mills all over the world. There is a big paper mill at Chandraghona in Bangladesh. It is called the Karnafuli paper mill. There are paper mills also at Khulna and Pakshi. The Khulna paper mill produces newsprint.

History : Paper was first made in China. Then the Arabs learnt it. Paper was first made by hand. It was coarse. Then papers are now made in paper mills.

How made : Paper is made from straw, grass, bamboo, jute, rags etc. These things are cut into pieces. They are boiled and a paste is made. Then some stickily thing is maxed with paste. Paper is made from the paste. Paper may be colored as one likes.

Usefulness : Paper is very useful to us. We cannot do without paper even for a day. Books, newspapers, letter etc. are written and printed on paper. It is used in schools, colleges and offices. Flowers, Kites, toys and packets are also made of paper.

Conclusion : We cannot do without paper even for a day. It has a great value to our education and economy. So we should be careful about it.
